Spoofing Private Trackers... TorrentLeech.org, What.cd, Demonoid.me, and more!

Do you find yourself on a private tracker website, like what.cd, demonoid.me, torrentleech.org, struggling to maintain a healthy ratio? It may not be the fact you are simply a leecher, and you have a horrible connection. But if you don't maintain a good ratio on most of these private trackers, you will become banned from the site in order to prevent leeching and benefit the community.

So I got a TorrentLeech.org invite tonight, and decided to type this up to help others.

So without furtherado, let's begin.

1. Download your favorite Bitorrent client. Utorrent, Azerus. Make sure it can modify proxy settings! I'll go into this a bit deeper later on.

2. Go to and download and install GreedyTorrent. (Scanned, and used by millions, confirmed as safe.) Launch it. Make note of the default port number, which should be 3456. It's okay if it's something else however. Just make sure the port you are using is unused for any other services on your computer.

3. You should see a line in GreedyTorrent... "Report my upload as xx.x times my upload." At the end, switch "Upload" to "Download", every time you download 1 MB in a torrent, the tracker will be sent information and it will be multiplied by whatever number is in the "x.xx" field.

4. Login to your private tracker, find a torrent to download.

5. Load it up in your Bitorrent client, and download it as "High" bandwidth.

6. Now, every 15, 30, or 60 minutes (whenever your private tracker's website updates) you can see the new results on your account at that tracker.

As a side note : Make sure not to make the ratio TOO HIGH, it may give away you're not being legit. Keep your ratio at around 1.5 - 2.0, try not to go much higher than that, as you can and will be banned.

If something isn't clear, please ask in the thread, and I will answer. I will also post proof that it worked for me. I have 150 KBps, and 12 MBps, (SUCKS for seeding, lmfao!)

PlayStation Network is back up to an extent.

For all of those looking for an insight into when the PlayStation downtime saga was coming to an end, while this afternoon was the be all, end all of it. Starting 6PM eastern, users were able to download a PlayStation 3 firmware, 3.61 which required you to change your password after logging in for the first time. Hopefully, a lot of bugs were patched and this won't happen again in the near future. The PlayStation Store is still down at this time however, and likely won't be restored for another week or so. For now, just enjoy online gaming!

Sony Playstation Network -- will it ever end?

As for most people who own a PS3 -- myself included. You must obviously be pretty angry and fed up of waiting, trust me I know the feeling. Sony has announced three different dates by when to expect the PSN to re-emerge online functional. However, all three of those dates have not been met. Sony keeps buying time with the "we are working around the clock" line.

For those that don't know how Sony's PSN network was compromised, understand this. There's a piece of software on many computers that detects if an external user is trying to access the server in a way it should not be allowed to. This piece of software is otherwise known as a firewall. However, Sony's firewall was easily exploitable as their software was not updated to the latest patched release.

Sony aims the blame at Anonymous (a file with a quote usually used by Anonymous was recently discovered on Sony's server) -- a default posting name for members of the 4Chan community run by website founder, Christopher Poole. However, understanding the nature that the name "Anonymous" are millions of users who are simply not selecting a name on an image posting board, you can't really say they are attacking the PSN. Most, if not all "Anonymous" are not that skilled and use pre-made tools by programmers/hackers like the LOIC Distributed Denial of Service attack tool. However, like any thing else, there are most positively a few users who can program, who can code, and who can exploit code.

As compensation for the recent Sony attacks, Sony is offering free 30 days of Playstation Plus subscription to every PSN user. Existing Playstation Plus users will be accredited an additional 30 days subscription. All Quorcity users who currently have a subscription, will receive the service free for the remainder of the service. Also, 1 million dollars worth of credit monitoring is being given by Sony to users who have been affected by the PSN attack.

With all this said and done, it's obvious a lot of us have either moved on, or are still waiting patiently. Hang in there, it'll be over soon...let's hope for the best!
